Adeyemi "Yemi" Aina joined ARC as a Research Software Engineer in January 2026. He earned his M.S. at Virginia Tech, supported by a National Science Foundation award, where his work in the Digital Education Research group focused on secure learning technologies including LTI 1.3, OAuth 2.0, and JWT based authentication.

During this time, he also worked on two national scale projects: a catalog system that uses an ontology to automatically classify and validate smart interactive content, and an API gateway that connects AI microservices into an ETD system. Both systems are currently maintained as open source by several institutions.

Before ARC, Yemi worked at Snorkel AI and as a Technology Consultant at KPMG West Africa, where he delivered enterprise software systems across finance and the West African power sector. He is a member of ACM, SPLICE, and serves as a reviewer for the IEEE EDUCON conference.

He is interested in software engineering, machine learning, and AI, and outside of work he can usually be found playing sports or diving into something Sci-Fi.
