Dr. Mark Gardner transferred to ARC from another IT department at Virginia Tech. He has been at the university since June 2006. In his role as Network Research Manager, Dr. Gardner is project manager for the NSF-funded VT-Rnet, a research network providing high-speed low-latency connectivity to demanding research instruments and computers on the Blacksburg campus. In addition, his focus and expertise span many areas of computing, networking, and storage. If it has to do with computers, he probably has an interest in it. He would love to discuss your wild and crazy ideas to help figure out how you can realize them.
