William's professional background includes expertise in high performance computing, high throughput computing, UNIX and Linux systems administration, high availability, large scale storage, and systems and network management. He specializes in the area of high performance computing (HPC) engineering and administration for Advanced Research Computing (ARC). He has been involved with HPC at Virginia Tech since 2006, serving in roles within the Division of Information Technology and within research institutes at Virginia Tech.
