The Immersa Deck in the ARC Visualization Lab

The Division of IT’s Advanced Research Computing (ARC) group is excited to debut its new immersive 3D visualization resource, the Immersa Deck. This newly upgraded facility opened in summer 2025.

Located in the Visionarium Lab within ARC’s office at 3050 Torgersen Hall, the Immersa Deck replaces the previous HyberCube visualization equipment and offers several upgrades that allow for a variety of complex and research applications and an even more realistic immersive experience. These include:

  • 700 square feet of display surface, including a partial ceiling for overhead visualization
  • A larger immersive room that measures 14.5 feet long, 14.5 wide, and 9.1 feet high
  • Six laser projectors that each emit 15,000 lumens
  • Total pixel capacity of 47,923,200
  • ART tracking and active stereo with dual eye-point projection

Those interested in using the Immersa Deck, or learning more about its capabilities for research, can schedule a visit with ARC’s visualization team.
