Teaching and Training

In addition to our consulting services, we offer several training opportunities throughout the year to help faculty, staff, and students learn more about ARC systems and services, as well as high-performance computing in general.

Classroom presentations

Our faculty can provide classroom presentations for courses with a computational component. Some presentations are available as lectures, while others involve hands-on workshops in which students work through some programming tasks.

If your class has a substantial visualization component, then you might be interested in the related Visualize This! program, in which the ARC Visualization group, in cooperation with the instructor, presents a customized workshop on visualization, tailored to the level, interests, and needs of the class.

Professional Development Network (PDN) courses

We also offer training on ARC's systems through the TLOS Professional Development Network. These courses are open to faculty, staff, and graduate students. Our PDN courses, such as our yearly "Intro to ARC" series (typically held in the summer), are typically well-suited for those who are new to high-performance computing.
